What to feed Alexandrine Parrots?
Alexandrine parakeets are medium-sized parrots bigger than Indian ringneck parrots. In nature, Alexandrine parakeets eat varieties of fresh foods. Offer your bird a good quality pellet food along with vegetables, fruits, grains, and occasionally nuts and seeds. Remember seeds are full of oils and sticking to only a seed-based diet can make your bird sick. Give your bird 1/2 cup of good quality pellet, 1/2 cup of fresh foods, 1/2 cup of fresh vegetables, and 1/2 cup of grains daily. You can change the feeding amount according to your bird's appetite. Remember to not give the same foods daily. Suppose you are feeding vegetables don't give the same vegetables daily as this will make your bird bored and they don't like eating the same stuff every day. So try to give different foods daily. And don't give two or three foods at the same time this confuses them and they will only choose what they like the most. here's a list of safe foods for your Alexandrine Parakeets. If you have an alexandrine parrot baby wait until it's fully weaned then introduce some soft foods.
